Upcoming Sunday Services

Sunday morning services are at 10 a.m. from Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day Weekend.

August 29, "A Sundae Sunday"
This morning we celebrate the 1892 invention of the ice cream sundae by a Unitarian minister and a member of his congregation in Ithaca, New York, and the profound religious implications of this event.

We will have a single worship service on Sunday, September 5, at 10 a.m.
On September 12, we return to our two-service schedule with services at 9:30 and 11 a.m. Nursery care as well as programming for children and youth will be available at both services.

September 5, Ingathering Sunday
With Members of the Worship Team

Please bring a small container of water from your summer travels or from someplace special to you for this service. During the service, we will celebrate the water communion ritual, pouring our individual containers into a common bowl, representing the coming together of our community at summer's end.

Services resume at 9:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.
September 12, "Forgiving, Accepting, and Loving Ourselves" (Part I of a three-part series)

With Reverend James Kubal-Komoto

September 19, "Forgiving, Accepting, and Loving Others" (Part II of a three-part series)
With Reverend James Kubal-Komoto

September 26, Deeper Than Our Separateness"
With guest minister Reverend Bruce Bode
Sometimes, as poet Mary Oliver says, "The great door opens a crack, a hint of the truth is given - so bright it is almost a death, a joy we can't bear - and then it is gone." This sermon is based on a personal experience of such an occasion. The Reverend Bruce A. Bode is serving in his seventh year as the minister of the Quimper Unitarian Universalist Fellowship in Port Townsend, Washington.
