Job Description for Greeters

Arrive 30 minutes before the start of service. You may wish to use a reserved sign for a seat in the sanctuary. Use one of the "Greeter" tags located on top of the nametag shelf; this can be clipped to the bottom of your own nametag. Stand by the double front doors leading into the Welcoming Room. As people arrive, greet them with a salutation. Use people’s names if you know them. If someone is unfamiliar, ask if they are new and show them to the newcomer’s desk. Let them know that the newcomer’s desk is where they can get a nametag and more information. When the bell rings for the beginning of service your "greeting" is completed.
