Sunday Refreshment Service
First Service Helpers:
Arrive 40 minutes before start of 1st Service
Fill and Plug in the large
capacity Hot Water Pot
Begin making regular and
decaf coffee – fill pump pots, label and set out
Set out the following
supplies on the table:
- Cups and small glasses
- Stirrers, sweeteners,
sugar, dry creamer
- Pitcher ice water
- Tea bags, hot cider and
hot chocolate mixes
- Juice or other cold
drink if available
- Set out snacks – found
in plastic bin on counter
- If Half and Half is
available, fill small white thermal pitcher
Set out small grey rubber
bin on counter for used cup collection
Turn dishwasher on to
heat only
Set out small gray rubber
bin on counter for used cup collection
Wash one or 2 trays-full of
dishes before leaving (before 2nd Service starts)
Second Service Helpers:
Arrive 15-20 minutes before start of 2nd Service
- Make regular and decaf
coffee as needed; check hot pot and refill if needed
- Replace cups and
glasses as needed

After
Second Service:
(note: people often continue to meet in Welcoming
Room during the service)
- Check supplies in
Welcoming Room and replenish as needed
- Rack cups and glasses
and put through dishwasher
- Remove from dishwasher
and let dishes air dry, then put away
- Empty pump pots, unplug
Hot Water pot and put away all supplies
- List any needed
supplies on the note pad by the bulletin board above counter
- Wipe all counters – NO
FOOD SHOULD BE LEFT ON COUNTERS
- Turn off dishwasher
- Add soiled table linens
and towels to basket for laundering – take home and launder if convenient.
- Empty garbage, food
waste and recycle containers to outside bins.
