Chartres (page title)

Religious pilgrims of every faith have walked the labyrinth of the Chartres Cathedral near Paris for over eight hundred years. After experimenting with many labyrinths at Saltwater Church, the congregation settled on the pattern of the Chartres Labyrinth as the design for a permanent labyrinth on our grounds.

While the oldest known labyrinths have been dated to earlier than 2000 BC, the elegance and beauty of the Chartres design has made it a favorite of labyrinth walkers for many generations.
