As Unitarian Universalists, we believe that working toward a more compassionate and just world is an important part of growing our own souls. Here are some of our social justice activities.

Through out Share-the-Plate program, one-half of the undesignated funds in our Sunday morning offering benefits a local charity.

We support Hospitality House, the only shelter for single homeless women in South King County. Saltwater Church volunteers bring dinners to the women staying there several times every year. For more information about volunteering, contact Sherry Edwards at sherryedwards1949@comcast.net .

We provide mentors to students at Mark Twain Elementary School. For more information about volunteering, contact Joan Tornow at tornows@comcast.net. We also provide gifts at Christmas time to several Mark Twain students and their families.

Through the sale of fair-trade craft sales during the holidays, our Microbank Team has raised enough funds to start seven microbanks in the developing world during the past several years. For more information, contact Diana King at diana-king@comcast.net.
