As Unitarian Universalists, we believe that working toward a more compassionate and just world is an important part of growing our own souls. Here are some of our social justice activities.

Through out Share-the-Plate program, one-half of the undesignated funds in our Sunday morning offering benefits a local charity.

We support Hospitality House, the only shelter for single homeless women in South King County. Saltwater Church volunteers bring dinners to the women staying there several times every year. For more information about volunteering, contact Sherry Edwards at sherryedwards1949@comcast.net .

We provide mentors to students at Mark Twain Elementary School. For more information about volunteering, contact Joan Tornow at tornows@comcast.net. We also provide gifts at Christmas time to several Mark Twain students and their families.

We are a member of Sound Alliance, a network of more than 30 congregations, labor unions, and other organizations working toward the common good in the Puget Sound region.
